The Country Mouse & The City Mouse

Do you remember the fable of The Country Mouse and The City Mouse? It used to be one of my favorites when I was little and I remember every little detail of it. The country mouse of my youth was quite malnourished and didn't look that healthy to be honest, but I can't say the same about the sweet characters of this collection. Growing up I came across different versions of this story, all equally adorable and each with its unique traits. The colorful illustrations on these lovely garments and accessories were made exclusively for my shop by the talented  children's books illustrator Anastasia Wessex, who made my small big dream come true. Look at all those adorable mice! They just want to make you join them and enjoy the country life.

The Forest Library

Is that Little Red Riding Hood? Of course it is! I  am so very afraid that she didn't follow Mother's advice and ventured in the forest where the wolf is going to...hmmm. devour her?  Devour you think?...Not quite! Our talented children's books author and illustrator Rosalinde Bonnet has her very own version of what really happened that day in the woods and, I must tell you, it does not involve any child being eaten. Far from that indeed. There are so many lovely characters in this collection: lots of tiny elves and fairies, a young Pied piper of Hamelin with all those tiny mice following him enchanted by the melody of his flute, modern versions of the most famous princesses, bunnies, an owl, a cute hedgehog and even a unicorn. And there are oh, so many trees and plenty of mushrooms and flowers in all colors of the rainbow.  Nearly forgotten, there is even a book-loving green dragon who wouldn't hurt a fly nor spit fire against anyone. All these characters have something in common: they LOVE reading. Luckily for them there's a library in the forest. Its shelves are carved in tree trunks and stumps and it's thank to that magical library in the depth of the woods that we dare to imagine a good natured Dragon and a friendly Wolf.
